I came hope yesterday to a printed letter from the city stuffed through the loop of my back door handle. It said they’d be repaving my street this week and that parking & access might be limited.
Today I’m getting ready for work when my house starts shaking. I look outside to see an asphalt eater slowly rumbling past my house, chewing up the street. I ended up having to flag down a guy in a bobcat to move a pile of asphalt debris so I could get out of my driveway and go to work. Thanks for the advanced notice city...

If you were a soccer mom in a G-Wagen you wouldn’t have had to worry.
See? That’s why they buy those rugged off-road vehicles. For the one in a million chance they actually have to use it for its true purpose.
Now don’t you have egg on your face.

Had some construction on the building next door, on the side with the only entrance to our parking garage. They told us they’d be doing some work on the street and would close one of the lanes for a few months.
What they didn’t tell us was that they were going to randomly close the whole street for hours at a time during that period. So if you were trying to get in, or worse yet, trying to get out during one of those times, well...sorry.

We got a notice last week stating that paving would be occuring starting the next day. Right on the notice it said that legally, in the county, they are required to give a 3 day notice...good job guys. Not complaining though, the roads are in dire need of it.
